Physical Description


The II Class Bar consists of a frame constructed of iron with a light blue and white striped ribbon with the inscription "L II" for King Ludwig II in the centre. With a horizontal pin on the reverse for attachment.

History


The Reserve Infantry Long Service Decorations were instituted on January 21, 1876 by King Ludwig II. The II Class Bar was awarded to soldiers, Officers and medical Officers who satisfactorily fulfilled their compulsory service in the reserve army, or to individuals called up from the reserves who participated in a campaign of at least three months in duration.
