Physical Description


A Bath cross constructed of silver. The obverse centre bears a circular medallion with the crowned cipher of King Ludwig II ("L II"). The reverse bears a circular medallion with the inscription "XX" (20). With a loop for suspension on a light blue ribbon with white stripes.

History


The Reserve Infantry Long Service Decorations were instituted on January 21, 1876 by King Ludwig II. The I Class Cross was awarded to Officers and Medical Officers of reserve status who willingly accepted a 20 year service time and actively demonstrated a keen interest in their duties.
