Physical Description
A circular medal constructed of bronze. The obverse bears the image of two soldiers encompassed by the inscription "KGL.BAYER 2. INFANT. REG". The reverse bears the crowned cipher of Crown Prince Rupprecht, encompassed by the inscription "MIT GOTT FVER KOENIG VND VATERLAND 1682 - 1932" (with God for king and fatherland). On a loop for suspension with a black ribbon with yellow stripes.
History
The Bavaria Regimental Commemorative Medal was established under Crown Prince Rupprecht in 1932, alongside three other medals to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Bavaria’s four oldest military regiments.
The medal was awarded to the regiment's former members.
