    This Medal was awarded to personnel within the four cavalry regiments who had fought with the Austrians against the French at Lombardia in 1796.

    The "N.M." stamp on the medals' reverse are the initials of Nicola Morghen from the Mint of Naples.

    The Small Silver Medal was conferred upon low ranking Officers withing the regiments.
