This medal commemorates the disbanding of the Janissary Army, and the events that occurred after Vaka-I Hayriye.

The title of this medal is roughly translated as the Medal of Mosque Nusret.

When this medal features diamonds, it is considered an Order.

The obverse features the cypher of Sultan Mahmud II and Arabic script, which reads as "Altta Hilal Icinde: Nisan-i Iftihar". The reverse features Arabic script, which reads as "Cami Nasret 1247".
