The Honour Decoration for Civil Servants of Rank Equal to Officer is awarded to Romanian civil servants of “special status,” in recognition of long and meritorious service. These civil servants include those with professional degrees, or those in senior positions and whose rank is equivalent to Officer.

The I Class Medal is awarded in recognition of 25 years of service in the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Justice, state communications, or national security.

The I Class Medal features a reverse inscription that translates to “In Service of the Country.”
