History
The Decoration for Merit to the System of Research and Certificates was established by the Council of Ministers in 1996 and was later amended in 1997. It is awarded by the Director of the Polish Centre for Testing and Certification to employees of the Centre in recognition of meritorious service (including long service), the implementation of new techniques, and cooperation with other international accreditation bodies.
From 1996-1997, the Decoration was awarded in two grades for 10 and 15 years of service, but only the Silver Decoration was retained following the revisions made in 1997.
The Silver Decoration features initials on the obverse that stand for "Rzeczpospolita Polska" (Republic of Poland) with an additional inscription that can be translated to "For Merit to the System of Research and Certificates." The suspension features initials that stand for "Polskie Centrum Badan i Certyfikacji" (Polish Centre for Testing and Certification).
