The Cross for the War of 1918-1921 was established by Parliamentary Decree in 1990 but ceased to be awarded in 1999. It was awarded to all surviving veterans of the Polish-Soviet War.

The Cross features an obverse inscription that translates to "Defenders of the Homeland."
