History
The Cross for Siberian Exiles was established by the Republic of Poland in 2003. It is awarded to Polish citizens who were deported by Soviet forces to Siberia, Kazakhstan, and northern Russia from 1939-1956 in recognition of their devotion to Poland and its independence. It may also be awarded to their children if they were born while their parents were in exile.
The Silver Cross features a reverse inscription can be translated to "To the Deported to Siberia."
