The Commemorative Medal for the War 1918-1921 was awarded by the Ministry of Military Affairs in recognition of participation in the struggle for Polish independence from 1918-1921.
It was awarded to military personnel and members of paramilitary organisations for 3 months of active service. It was also awarded to civilians who assisted the military, medics, foreigners who supported the Polish forces, and all who were wounded or killed in combat.
The Bronze Medal features a reverse inscription that translates to "Poland, To Her Defender.”
