History
The Medal for the 10th Anniversary of the Polish People's Republic was established by the Council of State in 1954 in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Polish People's Republic. It was awarded to Polish civil servants, military personnel, workers, and other citizens involved in social and political activities for their contributions to the nation. It was permanently suppressed in 1992 following the collapse of the communist regime.
The Silver Medal features initials on the obverse that stand for "Polska Rzeczpospolita Ludowa" (Polish People's Republic) and a reverse inscription that translates to "Struggle, Labour, Socialism."
There may be additional versions of the Silver Medal that differ in composition.
