History
The Decoration for Meritorious Communications Workers was established by the Council of Ministers in 1969 and was administered by the Minister of Communications until 1989. It was discontinued following the collapse of the communist regime, but a similar badge was established by the Republic of Poland in 1996.
It was awarded to employees of the Ministry of Communications, as well as other communications employees in state or social organisations, in recognition of meritorious service. The service requirements could be waived, but only under exceptional circumstances.
The II Class Decoration features an obverse inscription that translates to "Meritorious Communications Worker," and a reverse inscription that translates to "Ministry of Communications, Polish People's Republic."
