History


The Lithuanian Armed Forces Medal of Merit is awarded to Lithuanian military personnel for 10 years of distinguished service and meritorious contributions to the Lithuanian Army. It may also be awarded to civilians and foreigners for contributions to the strengthening and readiness of the Lithuanian Army, but only under exceptional circumstances.

If the recipient is awarded the Medal a second, third, or fourth time, a bronze, silvered, or gilt, Gediminas columns clasp is worn on the ribbon.
