History
The "Help to the Near" Firefighters' Decoration was established by the Union of Lithuanian Firemen's Organisations in 1925. It was awarded until 1933 when it was replaced by the "Help to the Near" Firefighters' Cross and the "Help to the Near" Firefighters' Medal.
There are two versions of the I Class Decoration that differ in suspension. The first version features a surmounting laurel wreath, while the second version does not. The two versions also differ in the spelling of the reverse inscription.
A total of 28 II Class Decorations were awarded.
