History
The Naval Shooting Medal was instituted by Presidential Decree in 1925. It was awarded during the annual exercises held at the School of Naval Artillery and was accompanied by a financial prize.
The Medal has two versions. The first was instituted in 1925 and has a star on the obverse. The second version was instituted after the restoration of the Monarchy in 1935 and has a crown on the obverse as well as a different inscription.
