History

The Rescue Service Cross is awarded to Estonian citizens in recognition of bravery and merit in rescue operations, or in the organisation of rescue operations and training programs. It may also be awarded posthumously.

The Silver Cross is awarded for exceptional merit in rescue operations, excellent work in the rescue services, and the management of rescue operations.
