This Title was conferred in recognition of successful management and participation in space flights.

The badges were awarded by the President of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic.

Recipients were bestowed with the honourary title “Aviator Cosmonaut of the CSSR.”

The only recipient of this Title was the first Czechoslovak astronaut Vladimir Remek for his service i the Czech-Soviet crew in March 1978.

The badge was designed by Frantisek Herman, and the reverse of the badges are numbered.
