History

This Title is conferred upon citizens of Belarus in recognition of meritorious service to society and the Republic in the form of military, economic or other contributions to the freedom, independence and prosperity of Belarus.

It is the highest honour that can be bestowed upon citizens of Belarus.

There have been 11 Gold Stars awarded since the Title's conception.
