History

This medal is conferred in recognition of acts of gallantry during emergency situations and rescue operations, and for service in the prevention and mitigation of emergencies.

It is awarded to military personnel, senior and enlisted emergency personnel, citizens, and members of interior bodies.

The obverse Cyrillic inscription translates to "For Excellence in the Prevention and Mitigation of Emergencies".
