History

This Order is conferred upon Albanian citizens for rendering extraordinary efforts and contributions within a range of cultural fields in Albania, including but not limited to the arts, sciences, sports, and business.

The Order's original name was the Order of the Grand Master of Labour and it was changed to its current name in 2001.
