History

This Order was awarded to recognize distinguished actions, leadership, and bravery rendered while fighting against enemy forces.

The Order was conferred upon a wide spectrum of military ranks and civilians, including Officers, Warrant Officers, Active and Reserve Duty Soldiers, members of the Police Forces, and various units within government agencies.

The I Class medal has a gold-coloured base, and silver-coloured the rifles.

The pin on the reverse of the ribbon may be horizontal or vertical.
