Seems like a pretty bold statement to imply a whole website with this much information was set up simply to "promote fake Third Reich Militaria". Seems like a bit of an exaggeration in my opinion.

Good Evening - Just for the betterment and knowledge of this new and growing forum, from my experience on another prominent German TR forum, the book Exposing Fake Militaria - The TeNo Ehrenzeichen, which the user Parteiabzeichen_Archive is referring to has been largely discredited by the collector community. In fact, I had difficulty finding any positive review or supportive comment regarding the book. I personally would not put much stock in its factualness or validity. From my reading, the author has also been banned from a large number of forums due inappropriate behavior as well. Thx, TH

The silver Purple Heart is from the initial requisition for 135,000 medals supplied by the U.S. Mint to the U.S. Navy in 1942. Due to the need to conserve metals such as copper and brass, this initial order was made from Sterling Silver and gold plated. They cost the Navy $2.56 each compared to about $1.76 each for medals made of bronze supplied by Rex Products and Robbins Co. to the U.S. Army. The silver medals were not numbered. Subsequent requisitions by the Navy made in 1944 and 1945 were made of bronze. Navy Purple Hearts made in 1945 were numbered. The Nakhimov Order is a Soviet naval award of the Great Patriotic War. It was established by Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Armed Forces of the 3.03.1944 on the establishment of military orders: the Order of Ushakov I and II degree and the Order of Nakhimov I and II degree, simultaneously with the Order of Ushakov specifically for awarding officers of the Navy. The order was designed by architect M. A. Shepilevsky.
