Physical Description
A five-pointed star with rays between the points, the obverse center bears a raised five-pointed star on a pebbled background, encompassed on one side with a wreath and the other with a cog, a banner is at the bottom inscribed with "THANH DONG", on a pentagonal ribbon of red, blue and white stripes, with three star pips.
History
This Order was conferred in recognition of outstanding service in the liberation of South Vietnam.
On September 2, 1977, the order was authorized to individuals and units who had played a ole in the 1975 Spring General Offensive who had not yet received an award for their service.
The I Class ribbon bears three stars.
The II Class ribbon bears two stars.
The III Class ribbon bears one star.
