History

The medal was awarded to Thai military personnel who served in the East Asia theatre throughout World War II.

This medal is also known as the East Asia Combat Service Medal (1941-1945).

There are Thai inscriptions on obverse and reverse. The reverse inscription is a translation of the original Thai script.
