History

In 1978, the Burma Socialist Programme Party issued new medals complying with the Socialist System.

In general, these medals were conferred upon individuals who established Socialism, made efforts to improve the Socialist economic system, or sacrificed their life protecting the nation.

These medals were awarded from 1978 to 1988.
