History

Known in Malay as "Darjah Kerabat Johor Yang Amat Dihormati", this order was instituted by Sultan Abu Bakar on July 31, 1886. This Order is only awarded to members of the royal family and is therefore quite rare. It is conferred in two classes. There are four additional special badges for officials of the office.

The Prelate's Badge is a silver star in the same design as the Order's neck badge but is surmounted by a Mufti's turban in yellow and white enamel.
