History

Known in Malay as "Darjah Kerabat Johor Yang Amat Dihormati", this order was instituted by Sultan Abu Bakar on July 31, 1886. This Order is only awarded to members of the royal family and is therefore quite rare. It is conferred in two classes.

The Commander Breast Star is a seven-point star, slightly smaller than the I Class Breast Star. The central medallion is the same - a red enamelled garter bearing the motto of the order and encircling a white field on which is a gold crescent, crossed sword and kris and a crown.
