History

This Order was established by Emperor Kang Teh of Manchuria on the day of his accession to the throne. It is considered the Manchurian equivalent of the Japanese Order of the Chrysanthemum (see JPN100).

The Grand Cordon was conferred upon recipients of the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Ray of the Dragon.

The reverse Japanese characters translate to "Grand Merit Decoration".
