History

This star was conferred in recognition of exceptionally distinguished service. It was awarded to servants of HEH, the Nizam's Government in Civil Departments. It also was awarded posthumously.

A total of 10 III Class Bronze Stars could be awarded at anytime.

Although this medal is associated with a ribbon, an example of the medal has yet to be found.

The reverse inscription reads as "Tamga-e-Asafia".
