History

The Baroni Medal was believed to have been instituted in 1928 to reward acts of gallantry. The Medal is known to have been awarded to a British subject, Khan Sahib Naqi Mohammed Khan in recognition of gallant and service in capturing an outlaw. Only 2 examples of the Medal have been seen.

There are known to be 2 versions of the Medal which are distinguished by the date inscription. One version is known to feature the d ...  ate "1927" and another is known to feature the date "1928." There may be additional versions of the Medal, but subsequent research is necessary.
