History

The Order of the Vikram Star was originally established as the Vikram Badge by Maharaja Sadul Singhji on the first anniversary of His Highness' accession to the throne on February 2, 1944. The Order was created to recognize services rendered to His Highness the Maharaja and to the House of Bikaner and ranked below the Bikaner Badge of Honour. The award was later amended and modified in 1947 when it was redesignated as the highest-ranking Bikaner honour and renamed the Order of the Vikram Star. The Order was conferred in 5 Classes to citizens of Bikaner.

10 awards of the IV Class Officer are known to have been made.

Ladies were also eligible for the award.

The IV Class Officer is worn by Ladies by a bow on the shoulder and by men on a breast ribbon.

The obverse features a Devanagari inscription which translates to "Blessing by Karni Mati for his Perpetual Rule."
