The Bikaner Legion of Merit was originally instituted by Maharaja Ganga Singhji as the Medal for Meritorious Service on October 30, 1937. The award was later modified, renamed, and upgraded into the fourth highest state order by Maharaja Sadul Singhji in 1947. The Order is conferred in 2 Classes.
The I Class is composed of gold and features a design of full enamel. The I Class is also worn from a neck ribbon.
The obverse features both Devanagari and English script.
