History

The Sun of Knowledge Order was instituted prior to 1938. The Order is conferred in a Knowledge and an Arts Division. The Order was made obsolete in 1956.

The Arts Division is presented in three classes to recognize serves provided to the fields of art. The Kala Jyoti (Flame of Arts) is awarded as the II Class.

The Kala Jyoti (Flame of Arts) is composed of silver.

The suspension features the Sanskrit inscription "SATYAMEVA JAYATE" which translates to "Truth Shall Triumph."
