History

The Military Efficiency Decoration (Istidad-I-Harbiya) was instituted by Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V Abbasi in 1924. The Medal is awarded in 2 Classes to members of any rank or status of the Bahawalpur State Forces in recognition of efficient service and acts of bravery.

The I Class is composed of gilt.

The obverse features an Arabic inscription which translates to "786 War Efficiency." The three digit number 786 is a chronogram for Bism'illah-e-Rahman-e-Rahim (in the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful).

This decoration is worn on a blue ribbon with six 1mm red stripes 4mm apart. It was likely manufactured by Spink & Son.
