History

The Army Good Conduct Medal (Tamgha-e-Husn Amal Harbia) was instituted by Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan IV Abbasi in 1890 to reward members of the Bahawalpur State Forces for excellent service. The award was modified by Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V Abbasi in 1924, and once again in 1936.

The obverse features an Arabic inscription which translates to "By the Grace of God Sadiq Mohammad Abbasi V Ruler of God Gifted Kingdom of Bahawalpur" and the reverse features an inscription which translates to "Excellence Performance in War" or "Excellent Military Performance."

There may be multiple versions of the Silver Medal which are distinguished by composition.
