History

This medal is conferred in recognition of at least 12 years of service with the Territorial Army. It is awarded to Junior Commissioned Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, and Enlisted Personnel.

A bar is attached to the ribbon to signify 18 years of service. A second bar is attached to the ribbon to signify 24 years of service.

The obverse suspension bar is inscribed "TERRITORIAL". The reverse Hindi inscription translates to "For Good Service".
