History


The Second Nicaraguan Campaign Medal was established by Navy Department General Orders on November 8, 1929. The Bronze Medal was awarded to United States Navy and Marine Corps personnel who served in Nicaragua and its surrounding waters between August 27, 1926, and January 2, 1933. Some Army personnel may also be eligible for the award.

There are 2 versions of the Medal which vary by the reverse inscription of the service name.

Some Medals may be stamped on the rim with the serial number.
