History
The China Campaign Medal was authorized by War Department General Orders on January 12, 1905. The Bronze Medal was awarded to United States Army personnel in recognition of military service in China with the Peking Relief Expedition between June 20, 1900, and May 27, 1901. Approximately 2,300 Medals were awarded.
A silver Citation Star was available for wear on the ribbon to denote gallantry in action.
Various numbering stamping styles were used.
