History

The Air Force Space and Missile Badge was established by the United States Air Force and was issued to Air Force Officers and enlisted personnel who have successfully completed training and qualifications in space warning, satellite command and control, missile operations, space surveillance, or space lift. The Badge was awarded in 3 grades and was made obsolete in 2004 when it was replaced by the Air Force Space Badge.
