History

This medal was conferred upon members of the Rebel Army, who were participants in the "Antonio Maceo" regiment 2 and took part in the invasion from "Las Mercedes" in the Sierra Maestra to the former province of Las Villas in 1958.

The medal was awarded for outstanding attitude.
