History
The Order of the Magisterial Palms (Orden de Palmas Magistrales) was established by the Peruvian government in 1949, to reward professionals in the field of education who have made an exemplary contribution to education, science, culture, and technology.
The grades of the Order are Educator, Master, and Amauta. The Educator consists of the badge suspended by the collar of the Order. The Master is awarded on a neck ribbon, and the Amauta is awarded as a Knight.
The Order's badge was designed by Armando Pareja Landeo.
The official Order's maker is the Peruvian Mint, Lima (Casa de la Moneda, Lima).
