The Medal of Ingavi (Medalla por Ingavi) was established by the government of Bolivia in 1841, in recognition of General José Ballivián and the troops under his command, who defended Bolivia from an invasion attempt of the Peruvian president Agustín Gamarra on November 18, 1841.
There are two different designs of this Medal, there are, a roundish Medal, and a Cross.
It is known several design of this Medal.
It is not clear if neither the composition or shape of the Medal denote the rank of the recipient.
