History

This Order is previously known as the Mendi Decoration for Bravery (November 30, 2003) and renamed the Order of Mendi for Bravery (October 22, 2004).

It is conferred upon individuals in recognition of conspicuous acts of gallantry in the face of great danger or resulting in the loss of life.

This badge is awarded in conjunction with a Gold Miniature Medallion and a Gold Lapel Rosette.
