History
This Medal was established by Emperor Haile Selassie I in 1952. It was awarded to Ethiopian citizens in recognition of contributions made to the reunification of Eritrea and Ethiopia following the Second World War.
The obverse features an Amharic inscription that can be translated to "No one can separate," while the reverse features a Ge'ez inscription that can be translated to "What nature has bound together, This bone is of my bone." The reverse is also dated "1945," but this refers to the Ethiopian calendar, and not the Western calendar.
