History

The Medal of the Honour Star of the Armed Forces is awarded to Cabo Verdean civilians and military personnel in recognition of acts of bravery and heroism during combat, security operations, rescue missions, and humanitarian missions. It may also be awarded to foreigners or entire military units.

The medal is worn with a "HONRA" (Honour) clasp.
